America is more divided than it has been in a generation, and maybe some of that can be laid at the feet of Mr. He was the “hope and change” president who was going to be the "post racial" president. President Obama, who won two majority elections by 10 million and 5 million votes respectively, came into office with a lot of promise. Today, the budget deficit is less than 500 billion dollars, which are almost two-thirds less than it was when President Obama took office. It is indisputable that America is in a much better place financially and economically than it was eight years ago, when the budget deficit was 1.4 trillion dollars. The employment rate is at 4.6% right now, which is a good thing. General Motors and Chrysler were headed for bankruptcy until President Obama stepped in and helped save 1.7 million jobs. The automotive industry was in tatters, and the country was in the deepest recession since the Great Depression. Obama took office in January of 2009, the country was losing 900,000 jobs a month, ultimately reaching 10% during the succeeding months.
